Michael Hampler and Michael Siddwick, here to discuss another burning wrestling issue and that issue today is what needs to happen at the Royal Rumble.

We're just a few days away, Michael Hampler, and it weirdly feels like the most exciting and yet simultaneously predictable Rumble in years.

Yes, but for all the right reasons. The Rumble, we've said this before, we've been saying it kind of since last year when Triple H took over of WWE Creative, we know that could be up in the air now or exactly how much influence has we don't know.

But the Royal Rumble used to always be the nicest kind of wrestling predictor, but ideally one, two or three candidates for the winners of the matches, but it should have been November.

But I'm wasn't in some big cases where the big WrestleMania matches were starting to take shape and the Royal Rumble where you get to see some of those ideas realized for the first time both in terms of the winners.

And in the bodies of these gimmick matches, which I remember feature 60 wrestlers at your disposal in an engineered pop factory.

There's a reason why this was always there like the perfect starting point for the road to WrestleMania and hopefully we'll get that version of it this year.

I sense that's why there's quite a lot of optimism going into this particular version of the event because for the first time in a generation, it actually feels like that's where we're at with the gimmick.

Yeah, it feels like there are two standouts for one standout for each match, but there's also a lot of fun to be adding in the interim as well.

Yeah, absolutely. It says the best. Can I do my fantasy book?

I mean, we want to talk about the winners, but you want to talk about X condomin, and he's my pick for winning the whole thing, so we might as well start it here.

Yeah, I've got an agenda. I've got an agenda that I want to spread, okay.

It's the look at me, please put over my fantasy book and idea, but I genuinely think this is a good one, right?

Okay, so the whole storyline between Rey Mysterio and Dominic Mysterio, which I personally think is fantastically stupid melodrama that I'm really into, it's not usually my kind of thing.

But I always appreciate something that even if it isn't to my personal tastes, if it's done really well in this is, I'll still go absolutely into it.

So the idea is that Rey Mysterio, it's his own kid, right? He does not want to fight him. Why would you want to fight your own son?

They've held onto this very realistic story, Pete, no matter how stupid the story is at its core, it's really quite believable, okay?

So how do they get to the fight? How do they get there? Because you just shouldn't want to fight your own son.

Unless you're Vince McMahon, it's a very weird thing for anyone to do, but it has to happen. They're going to do the WrestleMania match.

They've been building it for a long, long time. How do they do it? At the Royal Rumble is how they do it, okay?

So this is my plan. This is my idea. Rey and Dom are in the match at the same time.
