We're August, what is it, 11th? Who knows? Who knows at this point? We're in the midst of the dog days of the NBA summer.

It is what it is. We're still waiting for restricted free agency to ultimately wrap up for guys like

Josh Giddy, Jonathan Kaminga. There's going to be some ripple effects around the NBA for that sort of thing.

But for the most part, the Lakers roster is expected to be fairly well set.

I'm going to talk a little bit about that too because that rumor that was going

around earlier today, which frankly is not really a great one.

And I'll get into more details on that in terms of how accurate it really is in terms

of a portrayal.

And I'm specifically talking about the one where

it was mentioned that the Lakers had opportunities to trade Gabe Vincent and Jared Vanderbilt

and simply didn't do it. I'll talk a little bit more about that later on in the show. But

we also had the Lakers reportedly sign a new strength and conditioning coach. So we're going to be looking at that. What does that mean for the Lakers? But the big thing I want to spend the bulk of the show on is what has to happen right? What has to happen right for the lake? Now that we're, we're pretty, here we are middle of August. The schedule is going to be out any time now, maybe tomorrow. We'll see the schedule release will come out and then we'll

break down the whole thing from the Lakers perspective.

But for the most part, we know what's going to happen here with the Lakers from here on

out.

So what do they need to break their way?

And I think what's fascinating about this team is despite bringing back the bulk of the team

from last year, there's a lot of questions on this Lakers squad.

There's a lot of questions that can go any particular way and will greatly affect the

overall outcome of the season for L.A.

So I want to get into that as well.

And that's going to be the bulk of today's show.
