We're spending a couple of weeks looking at the birth story of Jesus in the first two chapters

of Luke because we know parts of the story, but there are parts of the story that maybe we haven't

stopped to consider.

And one of those is the patience of God.

God is really patient, so much so that in the New Testament,

Peter says that God is not slow, because some people think God is slow. Like, would you

hurry it up already? And it says that God is not slow, that he's patient. He's very, very patient.

We're going to see in just a moment that they were waiting for about 1,400 years for Jesus to come.

How many of you, that seems like a long time?

God's like, you have a big problem.
