Welcome to this week's edition of God Law and Liberty and I'm glad that you have

joined me and I want to continue on in this series that I've been doing, essentially talking about the

Gnostic understanding of law that pervades and thought today even in the church.

And I had promised last week that I would,

after explaining the Neo-Covepenter position, how it was nastic in relation to their historic tradition,

I would get to the Neobaptists.

But I thought that explaining the Neobaptists would actually make more sense

if I took a short detour today, so I hope you'll indulge me.

To look at First Timothy Chapter 1.

I'd mention that I would eventually look at Firstst Timothy chapter 1 and I thought I would do it

But I think it's important to insert it here. I think it will help us better understand the Neobaptists better.

So for the sake of understanding First Timothy chapter one. I hope my explication of that first chapter is

old hat for you, but it was new for me as of a few years ago but I want to put it in the

context of a book written by Thomas Boston in early 1700s called the, let me look at the title here,

human nature in its forefold state.

And the book begins with talking about Adam and his original state in the garden as created before the fall.
