Ron DeSantis, well the headline actually at the Miami Herald, the Miami Herald is calling him out,

which is like, I think really good news, right? The headline DeSantis is a master of distraction.

When is Florida's governor actually going to govern?

And you know, they point out that, you know, now he's pissed off with the college board, right?

You know, how dare you have African-American studies.

Now the government is making barely veiled threats that he's going to end all advanced

placement courses in Florida. All together, which is, you know, just going to devastate a lot

of high school students who are trying to get into good colleges. But hey, it's Florida, you know,

it's DeSantis land. You know, and this op-ed, this is a fascinating line, it says,

if you like DeSantis as a leader, you're probably happy with his most recent strong man amitation.

If you despise him, you're probably seeing red. In either case, you are doing exactly what he wants.

You are distracted from thinking about all the stuff that he's not doing, like, say, governing.

DeSantis, like Donald Trump before him, is practicing the dark art of manipulating our attention,

throwing bombs to keep us riveted, even as other far less sexy state problems remain unfixed,
