We need to talk a bit about the officiating as well because, well, there was a lot of stuff that's been said,

a lot of stuff that's been pointed out on social media since the Lakers lost to the Nets that we need to get into.

And it's not just Lakers specific.

It's NBA-wide that we need to talk about some stuff going on with the officiating. And then we need to finish things out by getting into the mailbag. So plenty to dive into on today's show. loss to the Brooklyn Nets obviously was extremely frustrating. It was an annoying loss, not just because

it was a loss to a tanking team. Certainly that is part of it, not the expected outcome. You're expected to win those games. I say it many times of the course of the season. I say it every year when we start the season, that the most important thing for playoff seating is not beating all the best teams. It's beating the teams you're supposed to beat. If you consistently beat the teams you're supposed to beat, you're going to be okay. It's when you start stacking up losses to teams you should not lose to. That's where you get yourself in trouble. And the Lakers have done that recently. As good as they've been. They've been great recently. I think that's one of the things we don't want to overlook. They've been great, but they have found ways to lose to very bad teams. they lost to the Jazz, they lost to the Hornets, and now they've lost the damn Brooklyn Nets.

Are you kidding me?

Especially, they have found ways to lose to very bad teams. They lost to the Jazz. They lost to the Hornets. And now they've lost the damn Brooklyn Nets. Are you kidding me? Especially when you look ahead at the Lakers schedule and how difficult it is. By the way, if you didn't see it yet, oh my God. The game winner from Tyrese Halliburton, well, I guess it was the game Tire and then the free throw to win the game, the three-pointer he hit. Oh my good. I mean, this is, this is absolutely unreal stuff. The Pacers are playing in the box. And if you see that, look at that falling down, gets fouled on the three, drains it and ties the game and then goes to the free throw line, wins the game at the free throw line after getting fouled by Janus. I mean, this is unbelievable, but here's a couple

things that are important here. First of all, the lifelong soccer player in me went, oh my

God, an NBA team just ran a soccer play. Like that's, that's exactly what this is we're not watching a basketball

play we're watching a corner kick or a free kick that's the way the pacer's offense approached

this and and what a creative way to approach a sideline out of bounds play this was awesome the way

they ran it look at this it was just it's a near post run it's a trailing

near post run by tyrese halliburton and he gets the ball and then i mean one of the best plays

we're going to see in the NBA this season the foul and won the Pacers going to win the game um

all of that as incredible as the play was the reason why i'm really highlighting that is because the Lakers play the Bucks next.
