That's Stefan Christnick, and that is Andrew Gillis. We watched

the second day of Ohio State's 15 practice spring slate. We also got the chance to talk to some

players for the first time. We talked with quarterback Julian San and we talked with defensive end

Kenyana Jackson. Devon, is there any part of you that feels bad for Kenyana Jackson that he had to wait

until his fifth year of college football to get the number he's always wanted simply because

a transfer showed up. Yeah, I do feel bad, but I think he like us understands the power of that

transfer and that is safety Caleb Downs who wanted to wear number two when he came to Ohio State. You want to put a name one. I just want to make it about a transfer because I just, wouldn't you hate transfers after that? It's like, you came in as a freshman. You're like, yeah, okay, I'll develop yada, yada, yada, yada. Sophomore year, you're like, okay, fine, I'll continue to wear this 97, even though I don't really want this number.

And then you look at your junior year, you're an upperclassman now, you're ready to play, and you're like, I'm going to go get that number two.

And then Nick Saban retires. And so a transfer comes in Gillis and steals your number. Wouldn't you hate transfers after that?

What's the Michael Irvin quote where he's like, don't let nobody come into yo house, take your meal?

Yeah.

This outsider who didn't choose the school you chose at high school.

I mean, listen, this is no disrespect intended for Kenyatta Jackson, but if Caleb Downs wants to wear number two... See, again, you guys are putting the name order. I'm not talking about Caleb Downs. I'm talking about a transfer. Stealing what's supposed to be yours. That wouldn't hurt a little bit. That wouldn't suck. Probably a little bit.

But it's Caleb Downs, man. But it's Caleb Downs. I love how he put it too. He's like, then Caleb Downs showed up. What are you going to do? It's like, yeah, I do a transfer. Like some dude who had not done anything in a Ohio safe football jersey, hadn't proven anything. as a buck guy, he gets your numbers.

Like, yeah.

He didn't need to prove anything in this jersey.

Did you see what he did in Tuscaloosa last year? That guy gets whatever number he wants. I'm using this. I'm being facetious. I'm really using this to get out a bigger issue. The fact that it feels like all week we've been discussing the fact that there's 51 new players on this roster.
