looking at John 14 still and it is just such a wonderful passage filled with Jesus instruction directly to us, his disciples.

And the context was he was about to leave his 12 disciples and he's preparing them for that fact. And he says in verse number 28, you heard

me say to you, I am going away and I will come to you.

If you loved me, you would have rejoiced because I'm going to the father and the father is

greater than I.

And now I've told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place, you may believe.

I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming he has no claim

on me but I do as the father has commanded me so that the world may know that I

love the father and then he says rise let us go from here. So they

were leaving the place they were in. Now this section that we've just read is

Jesus speaking directly to the heart of his disciples and

directly to their areas of concern. You can see it in the words that he uses.
