In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully

inspire you in your faith walk, that deepen your understanding of God's Word and that heightened

your awareness of his very real presence in your life.

You know, some people think that conversations about earth-last days are like doomsday conversations

and ones that should be avoided so that people don't get

upset. But Jesus taught us differently. He wants believers to live with a holy expectancy. Why? Because the

best is yet to come for us. Well, you might ask, well, what about those who are not saved? Their

future is not bright if they don't trust Jesus for salvation, right? Well, that is true,

but the fact that Jesus' return is near than it's ever been should not only inspire a holy

expectancy for believers, but an urgency in our hearts for those who don't know the love that we've

discovered in Jesus. I think when we get passive about this topic and we write it off because it's just

depressing or uncomfortable, we fall into a mind-numbing passivity that dims both our sense

of expectancy and our sense of urgency. If we're not thinking about Jesus' return, we're not

thinking about eternity and all that he is preparing for us. That living with the

holy expectancy will compel us to live differently. And if we're not thinking about his return,

we're not thinking about those who will be lost forever if they don't bend their knee to Jesus.
