Good morning and welcome back to the morning mindset. It's time for us to get our

minds aligned with the truth of God and that is not an easy task.

The last 10 or 12 episodes on the morning mindset should prove that to be true for us because

whether you're tightly embroiled in this topic we're talking about right now the issue of

how wives are to submit to their husbands and I don't apologize for that statement

that is a biblical statement and we're gonna to unpack it today.

Whether you're tightly embroiled in that or you're just struggling with the issue of

serving other people period.

It's hard work isn't it?

To get our minds aligned with what God says is true of us as human beings,

you see, because we've been taught, especially in Western culture, that we are to be

rugged individuals who assert our rights. We're to be

a rugged individuals who assert our rights. We're to be assertive, we're to be bold,

we're to be confident, where to be ones who make things happen,

doers.

And all of those are good qualities in the right context.

But there is something that's been missing from that description that comes straight out of scripture and it's not a male female issue it's a

humanity issue and that is we are all to consider ourselves to be servants of

other people. We are to serve others for their good, the New

Testament says, and that's God's calling on our life as followers of Jesus Christ.

And so when we get to the specifics of as followers of Jesus Christ.

And so when we get to the specifics of that, of course we have to talk about how that looks for a man, how that looks for a woman, because it looks different because God has designed us differently.
