So all right well as I told you last weekend I'm not sharing a series this fall. I'm just sharing some messages that I feel like God's put on my heart.

And so I want you to turn to Psalm chapter 46. We'll go through some other verses, but Psalm 46, and here's the title of the message this weekend.

What is your refuge? What is your refuge. What is your safe place? The word refuge means an elevated

fortress. It's a place you go when there's trouble or where the enemy's

attacking and you need to be safe. And there are synonyms for the word

refuge in the Bible, such as a fortress or a high place or a rock or habitation and we've got

Psalm 46 verse 1, versus one and two,

says God is our refuge and strength.

A very present help in trouble.

You've probably heard this verse before.

Therefore, we will not fear even though the earth be removed and though the mountains be carried

into the midst of the sea. I want you to think about how strongly the

Psalms says since God's my refuge I have no fear. I mean if the mountains start jumping into the ocean

and the earth starts dissolving I won't be afraid. Now let's be honest for a moment.
