Welcome to our Rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for. We have been meditating on

happiness and virtue. Virtue is the perfection of the human person.

It takes more than great intelligence or strong will to get stuff done or even great passion

and empathy.

Take King Solomon, for example.

Solomon had an amazing intellect, maybe one of the smartest guys who ever lived.

He also had a strong will.

He got a lot accomplished. But Solomon never harnessed his passions which led him

to be enslaved to his desire for power, wealth, and women, 700 wives and 300 concubines.

These turned his heart away from God to the worship of Satan hidden behind the pagan gods of Molok and Ash Doroth, to whom

he offered child sacrifice and burned his sons. In the end, Satan always demands human sacrifice in the form

of abortion, infanticide, suicide, and war.

And if you don't possess virtue, then you can't hand it on to your kids.

So Rahoebeom, his son and successor, was more full of vice than Solomon, more full of vice that

made him vicious, resulting in a civil war that destroyed the nation of Israel.

The point is this. Solomon made a train wreck of his life and his kingdom because he was enslaved to vice and did not become virtuous.
