As we start another week, another week of InvestTalk, another week of life, certainly things were eventful over the weekend.

Now, thus far, it seems, the developments, which we'll talk about when we run down what happened in the market today,

seems like a lot has been shrugged off.

And yet, things are constantly in motion.

Anybody who tells you that they know exactly what's going to happen in the near future,

the medium term, in the long term, and any of the many things that drive the market is not a serious person.

And so our job, as investors, is to try and understand what is happening, not to predict

what's going to happen, but understand what is happening and how that might affect our lives,

how that might affect our investments, how that will ultimately affect our portfolios.

It's been beaten up pretty good, but everything I see, it looks to be pretty strong.
