Hi, this is Jake. I'm going to do a little bumper up front to sort of intro the show because

I'm really happy with how this came out. I'm really proud of this episode that we just did with

Bryn Mee Roar from the the Lettis Generation Loss.

And Brett O'Shea from Revolutionary Left Radio and Red Menace.

It's great, but I just, I kind of went through all my notes and I realized I did something

that I do from time to time.

It's just a foible of mine, which is where I made a whole entire episode about something.

It came out really well.

And then I realized that at the end of it, I was thinking about it,

that I kind of forgot to talk about the very first thing I wanted to talk about,

which sort of provides context for this entire piece, this entire pamphlet by Lenin, what is to be done that we're

going to talk about, which is the concept of liberalism, right?

And the reason I wanted to shine a little light on it is because it's something that I remember

when I was learning about all this stuff, I found really confusing because that word

means something different to us in America

right now than it did historically in its roots. And they're connected, but they're different.

So when we talk about liberalism in terms of, you know, Russia a hundred years ago, or I guess

a little more than 100 years ago, we're not talking about

you know, voting for, you know, Al Gore and being a Lib Dard or whatever the fuck it means in

America today. It's specifically a technical term that refers to representative democracy and then some of the some of the civil liberties that arguably come from there.
