What is the worst second-hand embarrassment you've had to suffer through?

I was in a class with about 50 other people when this really nice quiet guy stood up and started to play Gangham Style out of his phone and started doing the dance with a wide grin on his face.

Nobody laughed, so he sat down after about ten seconds of singing and dancing, and the lecturer

proceeded to carry on with the lecture. Gangam style, frickin' hell. That brings me back to some

bad memories. I worked in the ad industry, and every company suddenly wants to be in and go viral

with Gangam Style. A few good months after it hit its peak, those hours pleading with clients

that filming their employees doing the dance was a bad idea, Lord, help me. Yeah, he showed up to all the

other lectures as usual for the rest of the semester, but just didn't really say anything. He was

always quite reserved, so I didn't really notice a change in his behavior. Looking back on it,

I do feel sorry for him, because I used to listen to that change in his behaviour. Looking back on it, I do feel

sorry for him because I used to listen to that song every day, and maybe I could have offered

him a sympathy laugh, but at the time I thought he just looked like a bit of a member.

In middle school, a kid decided to don his karate wear and break a brick for a talent show.

This intense music starts playing playing and he comes out,

bows his head and, hea hits the brick. It doesn't break. He tries a couple more times,

it remains unperturbed. He stomps off the stage in tears. I'm sure to console him, people

told him, nobody will remember this in 10 years.

It's been more than 10 years.

I still remember him as the kid who couldn't break the brick.

Stuck on a cruise ship for three days after my friend proposed to his girlfriend on the first fricking day, and she said no.

The same first night she made out with a random guy in the hot tub. I'm honestly
