I'm Jay Warner Wallace.

This week I want to continue a topic that I talk about intermittently here on our show.

It's a topic that's important to me, and I've certainly done a lot of work over the years trying to address this issue, and that is the departure of young people from the ranks of Christendom, from the church, from any association with Christianity, even from identifying themselves as Christians. Today's show is really going to be an assessment based on a recent survey of the

state of Christianity in America. Where are we at? What's happening in terms of the Christian

worldview and how strong or how well represented it may be amongst the population in America today?

And what should the recent results of polling do to motivate us as casemakers, as Christians,

to be able to make the case for what we believe as Christians?

And so we're going to talk about that on today's show.

And I'm basing a lot of this research on our recently released poll from the Pew Research Center.

Now, Pew does these polls every few years, about every seven years, a major poll that usually

ends up sounding something like the topic of this year's poll, America's changing religious

landscape.

And the idea here is that Pew will take the time to research a really large body of believers and non-believers just straight across

the population, both folks who believe in Jesus, the folks who don't, both people who are

theists, people who are not, just a general slice of Americana, a slice of the population,
