According to the Declaration of Independence, we the people create governments to secure our rights.

What happens when those both inside and outside of government, turn their positions into

weapons against their opponents?

Hello, there are everyday Americans.

Paul Engel here with the Constitution study, where we read and study the Constitution,

teach the right generation to be free.

There has been a lot of talk lately about weaponizing government.

And I look at this in a couple of different ways. Of course, you have the obvious examples of when

government agencies are used, both directly or indirectly, to attack political opponents.

But what about the organizations that are outside of government that

try to use government as a weapon to promote their own agenda? That's where I want to start today.

See, a federal grand jury has indicted the Southern Poverty Law Center basically for making

fraudulent payments to racist groups like the Klu Klux Klan.

Now, if my memory is correct, the Southern Pauvite Law Center was created to provide legal

assistance to the victims of discrimination like those who are victims of the Klu Klux Klan.

They were there to find discrimination,

to find, again, legal attacks on people, and to provide legal assistance, I believe it was even

pro bono legal assistance. This was especially during the 60s and 70s, if memory serves.

But over the decades, the Southern Poverty Law Center has been less about

racial discrimination and more about the promotion of Marxism

and attacking anyone who questioned the benefits of the liberal agenda that the Marxists propose.
