Now today we're talking about a book that I read. The book is called Teaming with Microbes by Jeff Loeufels and he has two other books

teeming with nutrients and teeming with fungi.

But this was the first book so it's the first book that I read.

And in it we learn a lot about what is going on underneath the soil surface and why it's so important to preserve

and nurture that soil life.

So let's get into that.

So what is this book about?ing with microbes? Well the fundamental

concept to understand in the book is something called the Soil Food Web. What is the soil food web and why do we care about it?

And so we all know that soil is important for plant growth, but a lot of the times we

talk about let's say the soil texture so is it

clay soil silty soil sandy soil or is it that all loving loamy soil or sometimes we'll talk about the N.P. K values in our soil. Do we have enough

nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium? What about trace minerals? But what we are neglecting when we think about

any of those topics I just mentioned is what is the life in our

soil what is alive in our soil and the answer is much more complex and amazing than you might imagine.
