or an old conversation. We have so many new listeners to the show and we thought it was a good

time to check in and re-explain what the pop pantheon is, not just the podcast, but what all the

tiers in the pop pantheon are. We did this once early in the show's run, but we felt like it was a good time to get together, Russ and I, and go through each of the tiers and explain what they each are, what constitutes the rules of each of them, how we think about each of them, who belongs in which, and bring that concept to new listeners who might want to get situated in how the show works, and also for older listeners to revisit some of this. I mean, it's been three and half years of the show. A lot has happened in pop. We've learned a lot through making all the episodes and speaking to guests and all of the audience feedback all the time about the podcast and the tears. So that's what this episode is. It's a reintroduction to the pop pantheon, and it was such a great discussion. I had so much

fun thinking about this anew with Russ. So here is that conversation. All right. So I'm here with

main feed. I've been here recently now with a mailbag, so y'all are getting used to me,

hopefully, or if you're listening to all these episodes. Louiana Grande, how are you doing today?

Oh, I'm so glad we're reviving that little tradition. I'm great. I'm doing really well. I'm really

excited that we sat down to do this episode today because we haven't done an episode like this since we had zero listeners

and now we have a lot more than zero listeners. So it feels like the perfect time to do this, right?

Well, maybe you can talk a little bit about what we're doing, actually. Yeah. So today we are here

to reintroduce the concept of this very podcast, Pop Pantheon. We're going to explain what the Pantheon is, what the tears are,

and we are going to shed some light for some new listeners or for those who may be confused about

the final segment of our A-side artist episodes, where we talk about where an artist or act

should be within the pop pantheon, this system that you have created.
