- Ecdysis: A process of shedding old skin (reptiles) or old cuticle shells (insects).
- Poison: A substance that can harm or kill someone or a creature if it is taken in through your mouth, nose, or skin.
- Toxin: A poisonous substance created by a living organism such as a creature, plant, bacteria, or fungi. A naturally occurring poison.
- Venom: A toxin, so a naturally occurring poison, that is injected through a bite or sting.
- Neurotoxins: Toxins (naturally occurring poison) that attack and disrupt the nervous system. This means they attack the brian or nerves in the body.
- Hemotoxins: Toxins (naturally occurring poison) that attack and disrupt blood and blood vessels.
- Enzyme: A type of protein with a special job of speeding things up.
