What is the most pain you have ever experienced?

A cluster headache. It's sort of like a big migraine, made of lots of other big migraines,

working together as an elite unit to infiltrate every pain receptor you have.

You've got that right. I had migraines since I was very young, but I got my first cluster headache when I was 17.

I thought that it was just a terrible migraine at first.

I took my meds and tried to sleep it off.

But my mum came to check on me, and when she tried to sit me up in bed, because I wasn't responsive,

she said my eyes rolled back in my head.

I literally fainted from the pain.

She rushed me to the ER and they immediately

sent me in for a cat scan because they thought I could have a brain aneurism or maybe a tumour.

Nope, just a cluster headache. They put me on a whole bunch of substances and I ended up sleeping

for about 20 hours. I'm glad they did because I wanted to die. The pain was so bad.

I've had a few cluster headaches since then, but nothing in my life has ever come close to the agony

from that first one. You never forget your first time. A warning that this is fairly graphic.

The first number two after I gave birth to my child. I had stitches, and very

unfortunately, hemorrhoids from pushing out my child. They also put you on iron, which

makes your turds literally hard like bricks. It was like being ripped apart and giving birth

all over again. I was sweating, praying, and almost on the verge of tears. Well, mine was a skinned

knee, by which I mean all of the skin, and an infection, infection under the kneecap,

skin healed through the bandage, then they ripped the bandage off. I didn't find out that I was allergic to common dental anesthetics until I was 16.
