Summary

How do we quantify the cost of slowing the economy to protect our vulnerable people from the disease? Does it have to be a choice between harming the economy and killing people? Or is there a third way already demonstrated in other places? And as to the harm to the economy, will we see substantial inflation, or a deflationary spiral?

And how can we manage feelings of rage and powerlessness as this all develops? What are the roots of the so-called libertarianism that really supports a corporate plutocracy? And from road rage to spitting conservatives- as anger flares, what could be the future of the partisan divide in this country?

1:17.8

Gavin Newsom in California, Governor Kate Brown here in Oregon, both backed out, they're relaxing the restrictions, right?

1:25.9

Peace by piece by piece.

1:26.9

This is happening in blue states all across the country because the pressure is so great.

1:31.3

And understandably, you know Cuomo today on TV was talking about how in New York

suicides are up, substance abuse is up, spousal abuse is up, you know domestic

violence is up, all things that could have been predicted.

How do we quantify the cost of that
