Well before I get started today I just want to say thanks so much to

pastor Ed Leland at Calvary in Huntington Beach who did a great job

organizing a men's dinner on Friday night last week and invited me to speak as

their guest speaker had a great time there was able to be able again to give away

materials that hopefully will help some of these guys make a case and become case makers for

the Christian faith and we spend some time trying to illustrate just why it is that

we are in a place in our history where it's important for all of us as Christians to understand our

role as case makers. As a matter of fact, starting next week we'll do a quick three

part series and we'll kind of insert here in the middle of our series on

doctrine. I just need to step out for a second and talk a little bit about why it's

important for us to see the Christian faith

and the word faith is not a blind faith and the word faith itself is not meant to be seen from a

biblical perspective as a jump into an area of unknown, a jump into the dark,

a wishful thinking, a hopeful idea that that perhaps God exists even though the

evidence might suggest otherwise and instead it is of course a

reason step of trust given the evidence that's been presented to us it's the most

reasonable inference from that evidence.
