what started as clashes between Cambodia and Thailand and then developed into pretty much a

full-on war. I'm currently in Surin, in northeastern Thailand. This was the province where

the clashes first broke out, and we've been traveling around

in this area, reporting on what's been going on over the last five days. So you've had a front row

seat to this conflict? I'd say a little more front row than I'd wanted. I've been wearing my

body armor, a little bit than I wanted, which is never

great in 35 degree heat and high humidity, but absolutely necessary in this kind of environment.

the peace talks brokered by Malaysia's prime minister

actually yielded some results.

have been instructed to develop a detailed mechanism

for the implementation, verification, and reporting of the ceasefire.
