| 0:00.0 | Good morning everyone and welcome back to another morning with the masters where we devote |
| 0:14.6 | ourselves to the Lord daily with you. Good morning. We are picking up on day four of our |
| 0:19.9 | making time to rest devotional. In the Bible app, there's a link to that in the description |
| 0:23.8 | if you all want to follow along with us. Mm-hmm. I'm going to read the scripture and in |
| 0:27.2 | Tories going to read the devotional. Let's do it. The scripture is first John chapter two |
| 0:32.5 | verses 15 through 17 and it says this, Do not love this world nor the things it offers you. |
| 0:39.6 | For when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers |
| 0:44.8 | only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see and pride in our achievements |

| 1:38.9 | different ways to disconnect in our ultra-connected world. There are books, articles, podcasts, |
| 1:45.9 | and messages giving us three steps to not be overwhelmed by the things that rob our attention. |
| 1:52.2 | But not everyone is distracted by the same things. What distracts one person is not a struggle |
| 1:58.9 | for the next. In order to break away from the distractions in our lives, we have to consider a |
| 2:05.0 | couple things. First, we have to know what distracts us. Those things that tear us away from the |
| 2:11.8 | important because they either feel urgent or they are just fun to indulge in. And secondly, |
| 2:18.6 | we have to be willing to lay down our agendas so that the most important people in our lives |
| 2:25.2 | don't feel like distractions. Whatever that thing is that steals peace and rest from us, |
