All right, so we've devolved into what is Taylor Heinecke? I mean, what is Sam Howell?

Is he gonna give you a Taylor Heinecke type season? That's kind of my vibe. Right. Where, or Davis Mills, I brought him up before the season.

I generally speaking, and I think this is true, young quarterback struggle. So he's going to have his struggles. So even if he put together Taylor Heinecke's numbers from last year, my eyes tell me he's got so much more ability than Taylor.

There's a lot more there. I agree with that on the ability, but there's a lot more to the quarterback position than just the arm talent.

That's why like he used to Joe so many people used to join on Eli Manning or Peyton Manning's flutter balls. Guess what? They understood the position and they were some of the best quarterbacks and league. One of them's an all-time great.

So you're a your initial impression is hold on that he doesn't understand the position like he's kind of a dummy. I'm not saying that. What is your impression?

My initial impression is Sam Howell. He just throws all of his Taylor.

You don't think it's funny because you used to tout how his college coach said he was the one guy who could read the field better than everybody.

Now you're saying that Taylor Heinecke didn't study the game. He just threw it up for grabs. No, no. Taylor Heinecke understood the offense.

Taylor also threw yellow balls. That's true. He did both.

He was more risk taker and see there are other. How has some of that in him too? He's got the risk. He's a gun slinger for sure in him too.

But he's got the gun to back it up. He does. Look, I agree with all of us don't know. We haven't seen enough.

What my eyes told me was he's taken a lot of sacks and that's numbers, but he also on times when he didn't take the sacks seemed flatfooted in the pocket.

Some of the criticisms about how going into the season were about footwork and Ron Rivera said he's gotten better.

That's for me. Some of that's on the enemy too. I feel like the enemy shouldn't just drop him back to be a sitting duck in the pocket if the protection around him is breaking down.

Is it some of it on how? Yes. Some of it on the enemy. Definitely.

And some of it may be him to him not pulling the trigger and maybe he'll get better at that because I think there were times where he took a sack where he had a guy open in the flat that he could have just tossed it out to.

I didn't watch many games of him in college, but the statistics said he was one of the worst in terms of holding on to the football. His sack rate was high.

I don't know if that's something that you can coach out of if that's something that he's always going to be like I was a fan of rucksacks when I looked back his year when he started 13 games he had 16 touchdown passes 20 picks.

I was a fan of his and thought maybe they can coach out the interceptions. They never did. It's all going to play that's who he was for his whole career.

He can't adjust to the pressure coming in on him. He takes a ton of sacks. He's either going to get injured. He's going to cough up the ball and turn it over to the other team. Bad things are going to happen.

If he does correct it and gets better and be an enemy puts him in better positions.
