When Rishi Soonite became Prime Minister, he had a majority of 70 and now he has a majority of 69 after the whip was suspended from former health secretary Matt Hancock.

Katie, what's the scandal?

Yes, so this is a story we've had once before which is Tory MP decides to go and I'm a celebrity get me out of here.

And both times it has ended in the whip being suspended.

First it was Nadine Doris several years ago under David Cameron and Andrew Mitchell was the chief whip and this time around it is Matt Hancock.

So this morning the news broke and it was the sun that broke the news that Matt Hancock will be going on.

I'm a celebrity get me out of here and I think it was pitched by Matt Hancock's people as you know positive news.

Lots of people could get behind maybe something to cheer the nation during it after few you know quite difficult months and difficult months to come.

But then less than an hour after the news had broken I mean I think as soon as it broke lots of people said what does that mean in terms of the whip because of what happened Nadine Doris is it really a sustainable situation.

And then the new chief whip Simon Hart has issued a statement in which he said that he decided this had warranted immediate action so the whip has immediately been suspended.

And you now have a situation where Matt Hancock has lost the whip but allies of Matt Hancock are very keen to ultimately say that he is still doing the right thing.

So one political ally told coffee house and others Matt has told the whips and parliament that he will use his time in the jungle to promote his dyslexia campaign.

Matt has an excellent team working with him in West Suffolk but producers have agreed that he can communicate with them if there's an urgent constituency matter so it doesn't sound like you know drop in surgery I think there's more of your crisis.

But if I was a drop in surgery he wouldn't fly them out to the jungle.

I mean I would definitely watch that they add politicians like Matt must go to where the people are particularly those who are politically disengaged.

Matt's of the view that we must embrace pop with a culture rather than looking down and reality to TV we just see it for what it is.

Now I think if we just go to the context of this Matt Hancock was very keen I think to get in the photo last week when Richie Sinek became pro minister.
