What you said reminded me of there was this Washington Post article about masculinity these days,

and there's a really nice quote in it from this guy Scott Galloway that said,

my view is that for masculinity, a decent place to start is garnering the skills and strength

that you can advocate for and protect others with. If you're really strong and smart,

you'll garner enough power, influence, and kindness to begin protecting others.

That real men, men be protected in people.
