I have to talk about the 76ers with someone, and luckily I'm friends with the person

who I consider to be the absoluteers with someone and luckily I'm friends with the person who I consider to be

the absolute be all end all knowledge of the Sixers and everything that is happening within

the organization. Derek Bodner, Derek, how you doing, man? I'm doing well, Sam. I'm doing well.

I feel like this has been a very strange 76er season to cover.

Before we get into the recent happenings, let's just start there.

What has the 76er season been like in terms of covering them and just from the inside. Yeah, so I mean, this has been a

strange season. You know, I think expectations have a way of changing just about everything

about a team from how fans react to the pressure the coaching staff feels to the frustrations

of the players. And I think that impacts the Sixers in every which way.

You know, I think this is, for a lot of Sixers fans, this has not been an enjoyable season

because they came in with such high expectations, and reaching those has been a struggle.

I think there is a lot of pressure on everyone in the organization from, you know, I don't know

if Joel and Beat is having as much fun, because I think life is a little bit tougher for him with the loss of J.J. Reddick and Jimmy Butler. I don't know if Brett Brown, you know, I think there's stress that his job is under so much scrutiny and is maybe not very secure. And Brett will tell you that he's on the hot seat every year he's been in Philadelphia, but it has to wear on you at some point. I don't think the seat has ever been hotter. And I think that, I mean, like I said, I think that impacts just

about everything, you know, about my job. At the end of the day, I come in, I talk about basketball.

I leave. It's in no way a problem's been a roller coaster in a lot of ways.

And right now we're at a pretty real valley where if I was a 76ers fan,

I would feel pretty shitty about the way that things are trending insofar as I think over the last like nine games they have a negative
