chapter 1 verse 14 tells the Apostles, it tells us the Apostles gathered around

Mary for nine days of prayer before the Holy Spirit came upon them

powerfully at Pentecost. And if we want the Holy Spirit to act in our lives as the spirit did, then we must imitate the example of the

apostles, gather around Mary every day and spend more intense time in prayer with her to be prepared to receive strength and

graces of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

We pray for the repose of the soul of Jack Messer, you pray for little baby Austin that Steve White may

receive a new heart for the healing of Olivia canily and for all of those people that are on our

hearts and we've promised to pray for. Now as we're gathered around Mary, we want to understand more clearly what consecration to marry means. Now, to do this we need to

begin with the purpose of life. But you know what the purpose of life.

But you know what the purpose of life is.

It's to go to college, get a high-paying job,

and get a big house and drive a Tesla.

Now, there's nothing wrong with that, but there is something infinitely better. The purpose of life is to share in the life of God. And we receive the life of God when we receive Jesus.

And it is the mission of the Holy Spirit to bring Jesus to us. So consecration is the process of the

Holy Spirit forming Jesus within us, the purpose of life.

Think of the consecration at the Eucharist.
