All right, turn to Genesis chapter 28.

Or while you're turning, let me make you aware,

Genesis 28, just one passage today to turn to,

Pastor Tommy Briggs, one of our pastors here, been here for six years,

wrote a book, I wish I'd known. And it is available now. We published it ourselves. I told the congregation last night to put it on your nightstand and read a little before you go to bed, but then I remembered when I did that I read most of the book and

stayed up real late so you get into it all it is its stories from his life

with biblical truths so it's one of those books that's just fun to read and then the Holy

Spirit speaks to you so I really want to encourage you to get this book because

it's just a great book. We're beginning a new series today called Love Express. We're going to talk about

worship for four weeks. Love Express and this first message I want to go really all the way back to the beginning of worship

and the title is what is church?

What is church? What is a worship experience? What does God expect when we say we're going to have church?

Or what should you expect when you attend church? Now obviously what we're going to talk

about this truth it can be in your quiet time at any time you can have church with

God but there is something that happens when we come together as a body on the

weekends and have church.

So I want to go back to what it means to come to the house of God, all right?

And to talk about worship.

Genesis 28, this is a little bit of a long story,

but I want you to stay with me because everything in this story is very very important to us.
