I was wondering, in the Bible, it says that Elisha was taken up to heaven in chariots of fire.

But then in the New Testament, Jesus says that the place is not ready

yet. So does that mean Elisha wasn't really took into heaven? Or is the Bible translation just

not precise?

Great question.

So there are two Bible passages that you're bringing up.

The first one is in Second King's Chapter 2, where we read in verse 11, and as they went on and

talked, behold, chariots of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

And so you're wondering, okay, does that contradict what Jesus said in his upper room discourse?

It's John chapters, you know, 13 through 17. And in chapter 14, Jesus says to his disciples,

let not your hearts be troubled, believe in God,

believe also in me. In my father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you
