What do all these things have in common?

They're all infrastructure projects, obviously, some recently completed, others currently underway.

But they are projects supported by the Chinese Communist Party as part of their Belt and Road initiative.

Of course, this might seem fine.

It's good to build roads, ports, and railways.

But as you might guess, the Chinese Communist Party is not just out to support economic development.

There are ulterior motives here,

and Americans must identify and counter those aims when necessary.
