0:12.2	I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD.
0:19.5	A lot of new happenings, of course, are going on in the Idaho
0:23.4	four case, Brian Coburger. And specifically, the defense is raising many issues, issues
0:32.3	that they feel are integral to their case, that they get certain evidence perhaps thrown out,
0:40.7	get it suppressed by the judge.
0:43.1	But at the same time, this evidence is so, so important to the prosecution.
0:49.9	Bushy eyebrows, K-Bore Knife, DNA, of course.
0:55.9	And the bushy eyebrows thing was, of course, the statement that Dylan Mortensen said to the detective on the morning of the murders when she saw this masked figure walking through the house.
1:12.5	And she described him as about 5'10, athletic build, not muscular, but with bushy eyebrows.
1:21.6	And this photo you see right here up on the screen is the almost like victory photo that Brian Coburger took the morning
1:32.9	of the murders and you tell me if a jury is shown that photograph will the jurors not say yes indeed he does have bushy eyebrows in that photograph i would
1:48.7	imagine now in in the courtroom that uh brian koburg is probably told by his defense counsel
1:56.5	make sure you trim your eyebrows every day you you know, before you go to court.
2:02.4	But these are some of the things. And of course, the most important piece of evidence,
2:07.8	probably in this entire case, is the DNA. The DNA that was found on the button of this knife
2:16.7	sheath.
2:26.9	And that is so, so important because that touch DNA initially came back to Brian Koberger's father.
2:38.0	And then through investigative genetic genealogy, they were able to compare it against Brian Kurger, and it was what they would call a statistical match. So there's no way on this earth that the judge would throw out that piece of
2:45.0	evidence. That's the piece of evidence that more than anything else gave the probable cause to arrest Brian Koberger for these murders.
2:56.4	The DNA on the knife sheath that came back to him.
3:01.7	You know, I saw someone I didn't even watch, I didn't watch the case.
