Open up to the book of Romans and follow with us. We're going to be starting in chapter 11,

but I'm going to give you a bit of an overview. Romans was written by the Apostleul to the believers in rome it's a very important book because it covers the entire council of god in one

book it goes over all the essentials of the faith and then gives us which i'm excited to go into

tonight practical application on how you can walk this thing out so tonight we're just going to

talk about not just doctrine which the first chapter will be but we're going to be talking about So tonight we're just going to talk about not just doctrine,

which the first chapter will be, but we're going to be talking about practical application

tonight. I'm going to catch some of you up that are just jumping on for the first time.

Last time we did this, we did chapter 9 and 10. Chapter 9, Paul discussed his anguish over

Israel's rejection of the Messiah. If you didn't know, Israel is God's chosen people.

And when Jesus came, they rejected Jesus.

They rejected the Messiah.

They thought that they were going to be saved by their works and not by faith.

And so righteousness is attained by faith.

It is not attained by works.

And so this is what Paul in the last in the first 10 chapters of Romans is

trying to tell us it's not about the law. It's not about works. We're saved by faith.
