My name is Caleb and today I am joined by John Hoyam, a junior fellow in the 1517 Thinking Fellowship.

You've been on the show a handful of times, especially last year.

Yeah, yeah.

Since COVID and you guys had to sort of accommodate the fact that it was harder to gather with people to record,

you broke down and were willing to Zoom.

So I also had a lot of time on my hands.

So here I am.

Yes.

Online, I think John and I are known as the Good Works Boys,

because one of the first episodes we did alone,

we talked about, I think the name of that episode was All My Deeds Are Sin.

Yeah, that's right.

We talked about Luther, Melanchthon um and accusations about good works and the law

and uh imputation of of righteousness and those types of things on an on an episode

probably not quite a year ago probably about nine months ago. And today we are still walking through the

Book of Concord. That's what we're doing. My dad had a bunch of meetings going on during this time.

And so John is going to take his place today. In fact, I know that, John, you've been teaching

on the Book of Concord, and specifically you've been teaching on the Augsburg Confession and the apology at your church, right?

Yeah, yeah.

So I usually teach two classes a week at church.
