Hey Daniel, what's it like to discover a new particle of nature?

You know, it's a lot less dramatic than you might expect.

Oh really, there's no eureka moment or some grand reveal.

It's usually a lot more gradual than like dropping a velvet curtain or something.

It's more like watching water drain out of the tub to reveal the toys at the bottom.

You make it sound so exciting.

I'm not sure how Steven Spielberg is going to portray that in a moment of my life, but

you know, it gets even worse.

Sometimes we don't even agree about whether or not we did discover something.

Sometimes it's like, is that a toy at the bottom of the tub or is that something else?
