This destruction follows the October 7th attack by Hamas on Israel, which killed more

than 1100 people with another 250 taken hostage and over

100 still being held and that's according to Israeli officials.

Israel's ongoing military assault in response to this attack by Hamas

has killed over 36,000 Palestinians,

according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, and it has destroyed entire

neighborhoods across the Gaza Strip, including hospitals and universities.

The level of violence, pain, and grief we're witnessing in the region is unprecedented.

Historians and experts from the United Nations have said the devastation in Gaza amounts to a genocide.

And demands for a permanent ceasefire and the safe return of the remaining hostages have echoed across the United States and the world.

Since October, over 100 U.S. cities have passed resolutions supporting a ceasefire.
