I'm really excited for this week. I don't know how it's going to be received by anyone,

but it's okay.

This is William Gernal, British guy in 1600s.

He said, we fear man so much because we fear God so little.

One fear cures the other.

When man's terror scares you, turn your thoughts to the wrath of God.

How good is that? We fear man so much because we fear God so little. And we're told not to fear God by our culture. The Bible says to fear God. Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. We're told to fear God in the Bible. But then in our modern culture, we're told, oh, no, no, no, don't, don't, it doesn't mean that.

It's not like, don't, it doesn't mean fear.

It means something else.

So we don't fear God.

And then we fear man and we have anxiety and all these other problems that we have in America

today.

So we talked a little bit about this yesterday that atheists, nonbelievers, they hear this

fear God thing and they think it's bad.

So then Christians in an effort to, I don't know, be liked, try to explain it away.

It's like, oh, no, no, it's not scared of.

It's like respect, respect God.

I mean, all of God.

It's like, yeah, you should do those two things too.

But it's also, I mean, scared.
