Welcome to the Bronx Pins Stripe Show.

This is a special episode. We are doing a trade deadline GM episode. Normally, Scott and I have done this four or five years in a row in the off season. And now that we have Logan and Ilya on board, we figured we could team up and do a trade deadline one. Last week, we talked about how this is potentially the biggest trade deadline of Brian Cashman's Yankees career,

definitely biggest one since 2016, maybe when he sold, 2017 when he made a lot of good moves.

But this one, obviously, the team is in position to win the World Series.

They're the odds on favorite to win the World Series at this point.

You can't F this up, right, Scott?

Like, you cannot F this trade deadline up.

You also can't sit on your ass and just not do anything.

You have to make your conscious effort to improve the team,

even though we have a very good team as it exists. The roster is in good shape as it exists. However,

that is basically, it just can't be, you can't rest on that. You can't rest on that. You got to try

to move the ball forward and make this

team even better, even though you're flirting with some big numbers in the win column. So that's

the other thing, is that there cannot be a rest period here and just say, we're good, we're in good

shit. Yes, we are, but it could be better. And that's sort of the approach that Logan and I

took. We'll go first.

So put yourselves on mute so you're not even tempted to interrupt. And then we'll let you lay out your plan. And then we can have a nice conversation. A nice civil conversation about each other's plans afterwards. A civil conversation. Yes. Okay. Let's go. You guys go first. That was the approach we took. It's like, where are the areas that this team needs to upgrade?
