WEEK 5: GOD CHOSE YOU// WHAT IF I’M AN IMPOSTER? // PASTOR CHARLES METCALF
Have you ever felt like an imposter? In Week 5 of the God Chose You series, Pastor Charles Metcalf tackles the real and raw feeling of imposter syndrome, the fear that whispers you’re not enough, not qualified, and don’t belong. But what if the very thing you’re doubting is the proof that God did choose you? Pastor Charles shares how honesty is the only answer to imposter syndrome and leads us to the truth that no matter what your insecurity says, God still chose you. This message will encourage you to embrace the fire, stand firm under pressure, and walk boldly in the transformation God has already started in you.

Welcome to Transformation Church podcast, where we represent God to the lost and found for

0:07.5

transformation in Christ. We're so glad you're here, and wherever you're listening from,

0:11.4

we believe God will transform your life through today's message.

We are in week five, week number five of a series called God chose you. Look at your neighbor and tell them God chose you. That's right. God chose you. It's based off a book I just released a couple of weeks ago called God Chose Me. And the idea is for you to know

0:40.1

this book was not written and this message is not about God choosing an individual for you to look at and be impressed by.

0:47.8

The goal would be is that you would understand that where you are, how you are, no matter what you've been through,

0:52.9

God has chosen you. It is one of the

0:55.2

most centrally important ideas of your life, that you understand your life is not an accident,

1:01.0

it is not chance. You didn't get there because someone hired you. It wasn't anybody else's

1:05.9

responsibility that you are at where you are at. God has chosen you. Somebody just say real quick, God chose me.

1:15.3

You have to embrace this. This is a daily confession. It's a daily something you have to remind

1:21.0

yourself of because situations and life and seasons will try to suggest that you are not chosen,

1:27.1

that you're not special, that you're not unique, that there's nothing important specifically about your life. And it's just not true. There's nobody on the planet Earth that has the fingerprint you do. There's nobody that has the story you have. There's nobody who has heard and since then seeing God in the way that you've

1:45.7

seen him. There's nobody like you. And as much as the world and social media tries to tell you,

1:51.4

you're not that special or not that important unless a lot of people are looking at you,

1:55.4

that is not what God says and what he believes about your life. You're special, you're valuable.

2:00.7

And some of you, the truth is,

2:01.9

it's hard to believe this because you never heard those words growing up. It was be quiet. It was just

2:06.7

get out the way. It was just move. And so a lot of our adult life is spent trying to achieve things

2:12.0

so that people will choose us. Well, we got to be honest. It's, it's, I'll do a good job. I'll do these things, and then somebody will see me and choose me.

2:19.7

The only problem is you spend most of your life trying to press people you don't care about

2:24.2

and they don't care about you, only to get it to realize it's not what you really needed.
