I was one of those who attended the Hajj this year

and something that was very, very clear was the unity among those fulfilling the haj.

No matter where they came from, you could feel that we are all part of one umma, one purpose,

trying to do the same thing, achieving the forgiveness of Allah, subhanahua-ta-a-a-a-a-a-a-a. If we could reenact that in our day-to-day lives

we would solve major problems in the Ummah.

As we went to Mina on the eighth of Zulhijja,

everyone was assisting the other. And each one was worried about the other

person, the elderly person. Someone else may be a disabled person and trying to get them to

get to Minah because that's where we had to be. And when we were in minna in the tents, everyone is camping, the heat

outside. People were interested to feed others, to ensure they had food, to ensure they fed everyone

around before they took for themselves, to ensure people had a place to sleep especially the elderly and those who are

more vulnerable the the women and the those who are slightly disabled or physically challenged

similarly when we went to arafa we gave priority and preference to others why is it that this

does not happen on a day-to-day basis in our lives as we live our lives every

single day the more we care for others the more we will find the help of Allah descend upon us had we

stood up for one another if we were all there for one another if we were genuine

towards one another we would not have witnessed the chaos we are

witnessing today today while Gaza is being bombed and Iran is being bombed, it hurts us.

We find ourselves fragmented to the degree that some might even say, well, it's okay, you know,
