uh the note that we did not pick the team names they do that for us and we did get the fighting

i was gonna ask you how did you get the fighting iris so that is not something that we did not pick the team names. They do that for us, and we did get the fighting Irish. I was going to ask you.

How did you get the fighting Irish?

Are you happy with that? That is not something that we chose. Obviously, everybody wants the tigers in Baton Rouge. But I'm happy with it. It could be worse. It could be a certain team that lives in the state of Florida, that their name kind of sounds like Florida. What would you do if you got stuck with a Florida name?

I would drop out of the league. I would demand a refund. Hey, the Gators are actually one of the team names. No. So, yeah, we started football yesterday. Hudson Hester had three scores. It's always exciting, man. And I've told you this, you know, off the air as well. I get more nervous watching my sons play football than I ever got for a football game in my collegiate R pro career. So I'm glad the first game jitters are done for me. Even with the flag football. The flag football, you still got the nerves going? Oh, absolutely. You know, you, you, you want them to do so well when they go

out there. So glad we got the first one. Now the jitters are gone. He's more of a shifty. Hudson's more of a shifty speed back, right? He's not, he's not the chip off the old block where he's, he's putting his shoulders down and running guys over there. Yeah, so dad had one trick in the bag of tricks. He has many bags, or

many tricks in his bag, I should

say. Yeah, he had a couple yesterday that were impressive things that were not in my repertoire. Were you ever a speedback? Like in your younger days, were you a speedback? No. I was always the same guy. And sometimes, you know, my dad was my youth coach. You'd be like, hey, you know,

there is green grass over that way that you can run. You don't have to run into every defender.

Well, you stuck with what got you there. And it worked for you once you got to LSU. So I want to

start, Jacob, with some news, some news that we got this week, Neil Farrell opting back in for

LSU. And I want to focus a little bit more in the defense this entire podcast because we've been offense heavy. We are going to talk about the scrimmage later. I was at preseason game number two. It's been almost a week now since that game. But I came away with some takeaways, and I just kind of want to talk through some of that and some of the things that I saw. But before that, I want to focus on the defense at a couple things.
