Summary

In this episode of Pursuing Health, Julie shares what she learned from a year-long experiment of starting 100 conversations with strangers.   As an introvert, this challenge pushed her beyond fear, discomfort, and self-doubt.   She reflects on rejection, surprising moments of connection, and why first impressions rarely tell the full story.   This episode explores how helping others feel seen opens the door to real, meaningful connection.  If you’ve ever wanted more connection but felt held back by fear, this episode is for you.    Please share your thoughts with info@pursuing-health.com, or connect with me on Instagram @JulieFoucher.Related Episodes:Ep 323 - Four Questions to Overcome Limiting Beliefs   Ep 281 - Dr. Kwadwo Kyeremanteng on Becoming an Unapologetic Leader If you like this episode, please subscribe to Pursuing Health on iTunes and give it a rating or share your feedback on social media using the hashtag #PursuingHealth. Now, someone had challenged me a couple of years ago to start 100 random conversations over the

Now, they could happen anytime, anywhere, but I just had to do 100 at the end of the year.

And even though this sounded super scary to me, I knew that it was something that would be good for me.

1:23.5

It would help me grow.

1:24.7

It would help me push past my discomfort.

1:26.9

And so I decided to say,

1:28.6

challenge accepted, let's do this. And initially, I started in situations that would be

1:34.6

pretty easy on a beach and a bar at a restaurant. But as I gained more comfort, I started to

1:42.7

initiate conversations in places where it wasn't as natural.

1:45.2

I really wanted to get a lot of experience to put myself out there. And today, I want to share

1:49.5

with you some of the most important lessons that I learned from this experiment. So the first

1:55.6

one that I learned is that everyone truly has a story to tell. And you have no idea who you're standing next to until you ask.
