Romans chapter 12, we are in a series. We've been talking together about the power of humility

versus the power of pride. And we've been contrasting these two realities,

the blessing, the peace,

the joy that comes from being humble,

versus the destruction versus the,

well, the aftermath of a life that is lived in pride.

I said it maybe in the first week that I went to a buddy's college. I was visiting a friend of mine in

college down at Biola University when I was in college. And when I walked into his quadrant of dorm rooms,

they had this huge poster and it read, pride sucks. And I thought, yeah, it does. Pride sucks the

life out of your relationships. It sucks the life out of your reputation. Pride sucks.

But humility, which is the spirit of Jesus,

humility has the ability to go low.
