grew up, my parents were still married, we always went to church, you know, had a lot.

And then, you know, the recession hit, my parents lost all their businesses, I went off to

college, and you know, like you, I had to grow up really really quick and I'm not coddled anymore and you know all this stuff I'm in a different city

I'm you know trying to figure things out as a 19 year old and yeah I believe I grew up a lot during college and then getting

drafted and being a professional made it even you know tougher and I really believe that all those experiences strengthen my faith because I think for a lot of people I started to see it in the sports world where it was like man everyone's identity is wrapped up and their

stats you know like how good they are what people think of them and even I you know I'm like

man I had a bad game. I feel like crap.

And the crappy thing about baseball is we play every day.

So if we have a bad game, you know, we have a bad game,

then we play again tomorrow, we have another bad game.

And then you're just like oh my gosh

dude like I don't have a week to like get rid of it yes and I just found myself getting wrapped

up in that all the time and I had to learn like dude it's just a game like even if I

get released and I don't play again I'm gonna be all right. Yes, yes. Yes, I think you find so many people, you know, in, in the professional world, whether it's football, baseball, whatever, business, you know, where

they determine who they are based on what they do, you know, and their successes and their failures and some people get a little too high, you know, some

people get way too low and for me I've tried my best not to ride that roller coaster.

You know, obviously when you're younger, it's a lot harder because you're trying to earn that

next contract, you're trying to make the first pro-bolar, you're just trying to make the team for the first time.

Like I remember all of those emotions, you know.

And I feel like, but once I do that, then they'll, then they will know I'm good.

Right. Then they will respect me then they like who cares who they are and now I'm like I'm 30 years old and thank the Lord I've gotten it's all like I don't care at all
