of a break, a little bit of a breather, a chance to catch the breath a little bit, relax,

rest, recover, heal up. Hopefully LeBron, Dennis Schroeder, Thomas Bryant back in action on Friday when the Lakers take on the Detroit Pistons.

That's also going to give us an opportunity to kind of take a look back and how far we've come so far to this point and what successes the Lakers have had and what failures as well.

So to help me do that, I've got Joseph Chapa from Lakersnation.com. Joseph, thanks for hopping in. Absolutely, Trevor. Thanks for having me on. It's been a great night. I just finished off being an ESPN Plus analyst and now being able to talk about the Lakers. This is a great night so far. Yeah, it's going to be fun here. Let's jump into it.

So right now the Lakers are just three wins and 10 losses on the season.

We're about 15%-ish of the way through the season.

Certainly not what we were expecting at this point.

What has surprised you about this Lakers team, either positive or negative?

What was it? What were we seen over these 13 games that maybe you weren't expecting?

You know, I really wasn't expecting the slow start for this new scheme for Russell Westbrook.

He was a huge storyline heading into the season.

It really didn't work out with Frank Vogel.

And, you know, Frank Vogel, he won the Lakers of 2020 NBA championship, but he was just not

the right offensive stylistic coach for a guy like Russell Westbrook paired with

LeBron James and Anthony Davis and the crew. But now that Darvinham made the switch to Russell

Westbrook as the six men off the bench,

leaving the second unit, you know, as they say, Russell Westbrook, he never has an off button.

It's always go and go some more.

And then you have guys like Wayne and Gabriel that can keep up with him in transition.

But that would really be my surprise so far because you think Darvinham, new head coach, players had coached in the
