The Good morning Bucknotters. Welcome to the Bucknuts Morning 5 here on Wednesday, April 8th,

2026. I am Dave Biddle, very happy to join by Steve Hellwagon. So we're, after today's practice, the Buckeyes are starting practice right now. We'll be over there later for interviews. I'll get to that later. This will be two thirds of the way through spring ball. It flies by, my friends. This is the 10th practice of spring. So including the spring game, that being the practice 15, we're going to be two thirds of the way through spring. So Steve and I are going to talk about what we've learned so far about this team, but we still need to learn. Steve, good to see you as always. I'm going to start with Leroy Roker. It looks right now like he, it doesn't mean it's going to stay this way. He's a little ahead of Terry Moore. I did not expect that at all. Now, Terry Moore coming off that season ending injury last year. He actually heard it in their bowl game the previous year and then missed all of last season at Duke. I really thought for sure he'd step in and be a starter. Kind of what we're seeing with Earl Little Jr. Earl Little Jr. is awesome. He's locked in. But Leroy Roker is one of the interesting development of spring to me, Steve. Yeah, I agree, Dave.

And I think that what we saw on Saturday at the Student Appreciation Day practice, I did my chat

last night, and I prompted people. I said, somebody asked me about the depth chart. So the very first

person responded and said, Steve, what do you see about the depth chart. So the very first person responded and said,

Steve, what do you see about the depth chart after that practice on Saturday? And I just kind of

carved out a very rudimentary, not etched in stone, just a snapshot. And again, what you have to

keep in mind is watching a practice like Saturday,

they may put what they call the ones out there for the first two or three series. But then after

about four or five, six series, the ones are actually a mismatch of the twos and the ones.

And the twos are a mismatch of the ones and the two. So, you know, and the three. So it's just,

it kind of gets convoluted a little bit because they don't have to practice a starting

lineup of players to prepare to play Illinois or Iowa or anybody this coming Saturday. So they're

just getting reps for as many people as they possibly can.

And I think you make a great point on Leroy Roker. He's put his time in. He's worked extremely hard.

He was a guy that was a little bit overlooked in the recruiting process, I think, by a lot of Ohio State fans.

And I think he's a guy that can help them as they kind of build out that secondary.

Is he going to be a starter in the fall? I don't know. I guess some of that will depend,

as you said, about Terry Moore if he's able to get back all the way from his injury. I know

Matt Guerrary helped recruit Terry Moore to Duke several years ago,

if you believe that, before he came to work with Jim Knowles at Ohio State.
