Politics podcast from the Times. I am not maturely, quite obviously. I'm Luke Jones. I'm sitting

in all this week on his Times radio show, Tental One, during the week. And today we're going to

be talking a bit about Metromares because it is a month away from the elections in May. When,

of course, there are elections in in Cardiff and in Hollywood and in lots of English councils. But

also it's the end of the first term for many of these new Metromares, which are all

brand spanking new in 2017. The likes of the Greater Manchester Mayor or the one in the Liverpool City

region or Tees Valley. So we're going to ask what has the Metromares ever done for us? Have they

been worth it? Have they actually been worth the time? And do we need more? Because this election

cycle is going to be a brand new one. There's a West Yorkshire Metro. He'll be coming along. We'll

talk about that in a minute with the Institute for Government and also Lord Hezzle Time. But first,
