How do we do this when oftentimes you might be thinking or finding yourself as the only

type of person in a room? Now, oftentimes I am the only woman in a room, the only woman in a board meeting,

the only woman at a conference, the only woman in a Zoom meeting, the only female speaker

on a stage. And oftentimes people will ask me, like, oh, well, does that make you uncomfortable?

But being the only female in the room has been something that I've learned how to be proud of, even if and when it made me feel uncomfortable.

So it started pretty young for me. I played on a tee ball team called The Pirates. And it was a teabal team that didn't denote it was for boys only, but it didn't exactly say that girls weren't

allowed. I ended up being one of only two girls that played in the entire T-ball league. The other girl

was my twin sister. So to be the onlys is started off pretty young for me and I started

realizing that I could be using this as a point of strength

if I decided to push through. I should also note here that my sister did not want to play

T-ball. She was the twin for Christmas who asked our grandfather for a pair of roller skates,

and I asked my grandfather for a skateboard. That is how different we are. I will say that I am a

our cohort and there are thousands of people that are part of this executive high performing

coaching program and even though I am the only woman in my cohort of the thousands of other people
